In today's lesson, we're going to continue
building our "virtual e-store" and focus on some basic design elements
that will GUARANTEE we lock up an unfair advantage over any competition we might
encounter in our niche'...


Just to recap a bit, in Lesson
2
, we discussed the 3 Key ingredients necessary

to snatch up instant, highly responsive traffic to our website.


No... we didn't get into a specific
traffic plan
(and rest assured we will). We simply began laying our
foundation and we also prepared our "game plan".


Do you remember what the three key
ingredients we discussed are?




  1. An easily targeted "laser
    tight" market



  2. Interesting content to write about
    in the marketplace



  3. Products readily available to
    generate both front and backend sales




Bravo!


So now... Are you ready to jump into Lesson
3?


Great... Let's get to work!


Do you remember why it's imperative to our
success that we begin building our site with a solid foundation?


Well, we learned that without a
solid foundation our "business" won't stand a snowballs chance in hell
of survival - especially long term. So we need to begin construction on a
rock solid foundation...


So what should our "rock solid
foundation" consist of?


YES.... OUR CUSTOMERS!


Absolutely correct!


Never lose sight of the fact that our
customers
are the sole focus of our business. More importantly,
building our email list of customers is going to be our websites primary
goal as we begin and continue to build upon our foundation.



Not sales!


Not fancy web design awards!


Not putting up links to dozens of
affiliate programs!


Not adding thousands of products
that will make us a ton of money!



Nope! None of the above! Our Primary
#1 Goal as we build our website is:











BUILDING AND
CONTINUALLY ADDING TO OUR CUSTOMER LIST?



Simple!


Each and every design element we
implement into our website will be focused around building our list.


I know this might seem a bit confusing to
you at first, but for now you'll just have to trust

me! ;-)











The primary purpose in
building our website will be getting visitors to give us their email
address! Period!







Don't stress...


We're going to discuss the exact methods
involved in bringing traffic to our site as well as "selling our
stuff" via drop ship suppliers to make a profit in later lessons, but for
now we're primarily focusing on designing our site around our first "Golden
Rule" - building our list.


Got it? ... Great!


Very quickly... Let me offer you a real
world example just to illustrate why our list is so important and needs to be
our primary focus...

If I hadn't designed my whole
website around building my list I'd have lost you as a customer --
forever. Chances are you would have left my website and forgot
that I even existed by now.


But that didn't happen... did it?


Why?


Because I'm smarter than that.
I valued your visit to my website MUCH MUCH more than that.


So what did I do to prove that?


I offered you something of value
and interest - FREE.


I already knew what you'd be
interested in because I've tightly defined and studied my targeted
niche
'!




  • You're interested in a way to
    make some money online!



  • You're looking into locating
    drop shipping suppliers to add more products to your existing
    product line.



  • You might even already sell
    on eBay so your looking to acquire some new products for your
    auction sales.



  • Perhaps you just looking for
    help in achieving your goal of making more money online.




It might even be a combination of
all of the above...


But I understand your needs
because I know my target market. Therefore, I know what you're

... Information and tools to help

But if I don't deliver on my

business as well! To make sales and make a living... right?

the past, maybe... just maybe... you'll like something I'm SELLING in
the future.


So now do you understand the
importance of adding customers to your list?


I think you get the idea...


Before I finish up with this
example, I'd like to briefly explain to you several tools I
incorporate into almost every website I own to focus on adding to my
list of subscribers.




  1. I usually have a subscription
    box offering a free subscription to my newsletter right at the
    top...



  2. I have a pop up window
    offering my free training via my 12 week drop shipping e-course...



  3. I have a form directly within
    my webpage that offers my free e-course or a special report to
    download focused on the niche of the site...



  4. I have an exit pop up that
    offers something of value for subscribing to my newsletter...



  5. I have a link in the
    "link Bar" offering my newsletter

    and/or e-course




That's five ways I'm offering an
opportunity to sign up to one of my lists on the homepage alone!


Not one simple link that says
"join my newsletter". WHO CARES!


Plus... the offers for my free
e-courses and newsletters aren't at all boring! Heck, they're
clever enough that you signed up immediately... right?


My point here is this...


Your primary focus when designing
your website will be to get as many of your visitors to sign up for
your list! If 1 out of 10 folks are signing up, improve your
offer to make it 2 out of 10.


Once 2 out of 10 are signing up
for your list, improve your offer to get 3 out of 10!


Once you're getting 3 out of 10,
YUP! Improve it! And then keep improving it until you've sucked
in as many subscribers as you possibly can! And then improve it
some more.










That's
called building a solid foundation... and a solid foundation
is the difference between those businesses that succeed
year-after-year and those that don't!






So let's jump right into our "virtual
e-store" and see what we can do to focus our website around building our
"FOUNDATION". You've seen from the examples above how I've done
that with my websites.



Now, we just need to transfer that
knowledge into an e-commerce website -- and it'll be simple as you'll soon see.



Remember the theme of our website - the
targeted niche' we're going to focus upon? We decided on a cooking theme
with a little extra spice to tightly define our laser targeted niche'.


Now, let's think back to what we discussed
in lesson 2 and take a look at our competition. They simply designed an
e-store with everything imaginable "FOR SALE" on their site.


Just picture the scene...




"We Stock Over 5000
Products For You

To Choose From!"


Hmmm.. Nice logo. Professional
looking site... Lots of products...


Are ya' scared of em?
Shame on you!


Do you think they'll make a lot of sales
from eager to buy customers (if they could even get customers to visit their
site with all the competition out there!)


NOPE! Guess
what? WHO CARES! There are hundreds of other cookware sites
on the net! What do they have to offer me - the customer - that others
don't? I've seen all this before a hundred times!




  • Better prices? - Let me check!
    I'll leave now and do some comparison shopping online! CLICK... You've
    just lost a customer!



  • Free Shipping? - Ya Right! You probably
    jacked up prices so you can make me think I'm getting a great deal!
    I'm not stupid! Goodbye!



  • Sales and specials? - So does you're
    competition! Everybody's got a sale going on! This is the
    Internet for goodness sake!



  • The best service? You better give
    me good service or I'll tell everybody not to EVER buy from you! Word
    travels fast online!



  • Over 5000 products? That really
    doesn't impress me! Wal-Mart has over 5 MILLION! Maybe I should
    go there to buy something! CLICK...BYE!




So tell me Mr. or Mrs. website
owner... Why should I buy from you? What's in it for me? And by the
way - the clock's ticking!
You got 10 seconds or I'm leaving! I'm very busy!


Sound crazy? Well..
It isn't!


That's exactly what customers are thinking
as soon as they arrive at any website.


NOT FOR A MINUTE will they be
thinking to themselves...




  • WOW! What a nice logo - I think I'll
    buy something!



  • Look at that! FREE SHIPPING!
    These folks are really nice to offer that!



  • Great Service! Whew! I
    always wanted great service!



  • Look at all the products! Wow
    I'm impressed!



  • Yikes! Look at all the sales!
    I'm buying something right now before the sale ends!




Forget about it!


They're all in a hurry and want to know
immediately if this website has something VALUABLE to offer them that others DO
NOT
! If not... SEEEE YAAAA!


Customers don't care about you or your
business! Sad but true...Get over it!


"What's in it for me?"
That's their only concern!



So that means you only have a few seconds
to grab their attention and show them exactly "WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM.


You want to hit them over the head with a
baseball bat and stop them in their tracks by presenting them with a HUGE
benefit they get IMMEDIATELY for visiting your website. That's your
primary job as an astute website owner!


Know your visitors and give them something
they want... FREE!


You've already spent a lot of time
"rolling around in the mud" and getting all dirty just to get that ONE
visitor to your website...


This isn't the time to waste all your hard
work and efforts on a fancy logo or "SALE! SALE! SALE! flashing all over
your site!


Who Cares!


The competition is advertising SALE! SALE!
SALE! all over their site!


You're going to do something very
different!


Why?


Because together you and I are much smarter
than that! We know we've only got a few seconds to grab this customers
attention and offer him or her something of real value - FREE - just for
stopping by. Something nobody else is offering...


And guess what? If they take us up on
our FREE offer, we've just strengthened and expanded our foundation! We've
got their email address in our customer list. We can now follow up with
them from time to time and clearly demonstrate to them EXACTLY how and why they
should do business with us. We're going to create a relationship with our
new customer and present them with offers they simply can't refuse. We'll
soon know so much about them that we'll hold an unfair advantage over our
competition.


Exciting... isn't it?


Okay, so now that we know what 99% of our
competitors are doing - SALE! SALE! SALE!... LOWEST PRICES AVAILABLE! FREE
SHIPPING! BEST ON THE NET! LARGEST SELECTION! BLAH... BLAH...
BLAH...


We know what we're NOT going
to do...


So lets take a look at our homepage.
Remember... our only focus is strengthening our foundation.... Right?

Let me take a moment right now and
offer my quick "two cents" before we proceed further into our
lessons. I chose the theme "cooking" for our website and
tightened it up to bring us to our targeted niche' Candle-Lite Cooking.


I could have chosen a hundred (maybe
even a thousand) different themes but I chose this theme purposely - for a
few good reasons:




  1. First, I hate boring stuff!
    Plain and simple! I want you to enjoy this course and also find it
    entertaining! Yes, Candle-Lite Cooking might be a stretch of the
    imagination but I intended it to be that way! I want to be sure to
    get my point across to you that it doesn't matter what you're selling
    online - the basic ingredients of your website will always remain the
    same.



  2. I wanted to push the limits of
    your creative imagination so you can clearly see that it doesn't matter
    what "STUFF" you'll be selling online - the point remains that
    you need to offer some valuable and interesting information to your
    website visitors at first contact.



  3. I also wanted to be able to
    demonstrate (on an extreme scale) just how easy it can actually be to
    take any topic - even a topic as general as cooking - and spice it up to
    create interest in that topic.




I think I've accomplished all those
and then some!


So, as you watch and learn and we
continue to build our website, keep all these points at the forefront of
your mind.

in it's first draft.


I can hear the applause now!


Yes, we may add a few tidbits here and
there. We might even cut out a link or two. Perhaps we'll think of
something "Phenomenal" before we launch the actual site and add it in
later, but at least we've got a solid game plan and our first draft completed.


Most important of all:




  • We're original and different



  • We're offering something extremely
    valuable just for stopping by...



  • We're focused only on strengthening our
    foundation...




Rest
assured... we're in much better shape already than any of our competition!

The Magical Formula Part2

Introduction


In today's
lesson, we're not only going to discuss the THREE
KEY INGREDIENTS
every website needs to make sales, but I also
have a little surprise in store for you...


Together, we're also going to begin building
our very own fictitious "Virtual E-Store".


And it's not only going to be just any
e-store - but an e-store that kicks butt!


I know you'll find the whole process not only
ultra-informative, but it's going to be a lot of fun too...
you'll see ;-)


In each of the remaining lessons in this 12
part course, we're going to continue constructing our
"virtual store" - building on strategies and
techniques we learned in previous lessons.  Once you've
completed all 12 lessons you'll know exactly what you need to
do - and how to do it - to build your own site that
continuously MAKES THE SALE!


Just as I shared with you in Lesson
1
the exact strategies I personally used many years ago to
build my first "Online Pet Shop" into a $60,000 a
year money maker, you too will know how to implement you're
very own "Profit Nuggets" into your own
website.


In my humble opinion, learning by example is a
far better teaching method than simply telling someone how to
do something.  So, by building our "virtual
e-store" together, you're going to get a "front row
seat" so I can demonstrate exactly how you should begin
setting up your own website.  Best of all - unlike most
of the other sites online... your site will be a SITE THAT
SELLS
!


So let's jump right in and get started. 
We've got a site to build ;-)


A few things
we need to consider before we start our site construction...




  • What are we going to call our
    "fictitious" e-store?



  • What products and services are we going
    to offer?



  • How are we going to get traffic to our
    store?



  • Who is our target market?



  • How will folks find us - or even know
    we exist?



  • How many different income streams can
    we produce from this one site?




I like to refer to this first step as our
"Game Plan".  Every business needs a
game plan before they should ever begin to build.


You've heard the term "If you build it
they will come!"  DON'T BELIEVE IT!  You need a
specific game plan in order to generate traffic to a new
website (especially when your budget is very limited) and more
importantly...



You need to know what you
plan to do with the traffic once it begins to arrive at your
storefront.



Just like any good recipe, you already have
the basic ingredients you need to build your site from our
previous lesson...


In lesson
1
, we learned:




  • We need a domain name



  • A web builder software program



  • A  shopping cart



  • An affiliate program



  • An autoresponder system to follow up with
    our web traffic, and...



  • A reliable drop shipping company to supply
    us with quality products for "BACKEND" Sales.






Now it's time to start adding our "Special Herbs And
Spices" to make our website recipe hot, spicy and full of
flavor!  A dish you just can get enough of!


Building
Our Virtual E-Store From The Ground Up


First and foremost, it's imperative to your
success to remember that building your customer list and establishing
a relationship
with them is your primary focus!


That's it! 
End of story!  BUILD YOUR LIST!


Your customers are the foundation of your
business... and a solid foundation is KEY!  Just like
when building a house, if you don't have a solid foundation
it'll collapse faster than a straw house in a hurricane
without the proper- solid foundation.  That's why it's
extremely important to be sure to start building a solid
foundation (your customer list) and plan and then expand on
that foundation.


Okay... let's move on...


Before we can begin building our "virtual
e-store" we have to decide who are customer will be - in
other words... who we'd like to target.  In my opinion,
there are three key ingredients I always consider
before deciding upon a target or niche'.


What are the three
KEY ingredients I always look for?




  1. An easily targeted "laser tight"
    market



  2. Interesting content to write about in the
    marketplace



  3. Products readily available to generate
    both front and backend sales




Okay... So now it's time I take the reigns and
make our first decision about our "Virtual
E-store"... After all... this is my course ;-)


Since one of my favorite pastimes is cooking,
I'd like to build our e-store around this subject.  So,
let's take a few minutes and see if we can't look at the three
key ingredients as they pertain to a "cooking theme"
for our site...


 



1
An Easily Targeted
" Laser Tight" Market



Obviously...  WAY TO MUCH COMPETITION
online for a website only focused on cooking in general.


We could throw that thought right out the
window....


But luckily we don't have to dismiss the idea
all together...


What we can do is break down the
subject of cooking into a more laser targeted "pinpoint
focused" niche'.  This way,  we would still be
able to capitalize on the market.


So let's see if we can't get a little tighter
focus and dig deeper into this niche'...


How about cooking...  but more
specifically targeted to a specific gender
?


The male "cooking" population would
definitely be an easier "LESS COMPETITIVE" market to
target than the female market... Wouldn't you agree?


But I'm only assuming - I didn't actually look
into it.


And there are a lot of Chefs who are males -
even more than women...


But I think that there are probably more women
cooking the "family meals" than there are men. 
Should we just specifically focus on the men online who
like to cook for their families?


Good thought... we'll keep that in mind!


Now I think we're starting to get somewhere!


But I still think we need to get more
specific.  We want a "pinpoint" targeted site!


Why?  Why do we have to be so
"Laser" targeted?


Ahhh.. patience  my astute student!


Once we've completed this entire course,
you'll completely understand the need to tightly define our
market ;-)


For now - Let's keep digging...


What about the diet craze?  How about
desserts?  What about fried foods or baked dishes as a
main focus?  We could consider just offering
"Southern" cooking ideas or ethnic dishes.  We
could focus on just appetizers, snacks, or finger foods.


What about cakes, pies, or sweets in
general...


Our options are really limitless!


And it's all part of the brainstorming
process - trying to define a laser tight niche'...


Here's a thought...


I recently made up my mind to lose some weight
so that's something that really interests me right now. 
Perhaps we could run with something focused on weight loss...


Can we focus on low-carb meals for men?


We could... but I think there's still way to
much competition online for "weight loss" in
general... albeit man or woman...


But let's see if we can't run with the
"weight loss" theme since there's a huge demand
online for "low carb" meals right now (and I am
personally interested in the subject)


We need to keep brainstorming and continue to
dig further...


We really need to find an ULTRA RESOURCEFUL
extremely laser targeted niche...


Wait a minute...  I have got a great
idea!


You know what I really enjoy more than
anything else when it comes to a good meal?


I love it when my wife and I have some time
alone and we plan a nice romantic dinner together (NO KIDS!)
and turn off the lights, light a few candles, and just talk
over a good bottle of wine and a nice delicious meal!


I especially enjoy cooking those types of
meals for her!


NOW THAT'S LIVING!


The only problem for me lately has been trying
to cook up a nice romantic meal and still watch how many
calories and carbs I'm eating. (I think I just love food TOO
MUCH!)


Perhaps there's a way we could focus our site
around some of those topics!


By Golly... I think we're getting close...


Okay... so what do we have so far?


First, we're going with a cooking theme.


Second, we're going to focus the cooking
around "everyday folks" who REALLY  like to
cook - almost as a hobby of sorts.


Third, we'll try to keep in mind the
"healthy conscious" aspect of cooking since so many
folks are watching their weight and eating healthy.


Fourth, ROMANCE!  If we could come up
with a game plan to focus our cooking website around all those
things, I think we'll definitely have a winner!


Remember the three areas of interest (KEY
INGREDIENTS) that we want to make sure we incorporate?


Let's review...


What are the three KEY ingredients?




  1. A "laser targeted" market



  2. Interesting content to write about in this
    marketplace



  3. Products readily available to generate
    both front and backend sales




Excellent!  You're a brain-child!


Do you think we could laser target a niche' in
the cooking category, focused on folks who like to cook as a
hobby, who want to eat healthier, and (my favorite) are
looking to spice up the romance in their lives?


Guess what... I think we'll hit a HOMERUN!


I think we've definitely found our laser
tight niche
'.  Now let's look into our second Key
Ingredient
...

Interesting Content To Write About



What could be more interesting than "good
food" and increased romance, all while maintaining a
healthier lifestyle?  Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I
don't think we'll have much competition on that topic... do
you?


You see... because we took our time and had
our thinking cap on before we ever began to build and plan our
site (our game plan), we can now design a site that's not only
informative but also entertaining - focused around a
"hot", interesting, "PINPOINT targeted market!


You always have to keep one very important
aspect of Internet marketing in your mind at all times. 
We discussed this in Lesson 1 briefly as well.


The Internet is the Information Highway!


It always has been... and always will be!


Never lose sight of the fact that folks are
searching for information online.  Therefore, when
considering a theme for your website, you'll always want to
keep in mind the fact that your site will not
"PRIMARILY" be providing products for sale, but more
importantly
... HIGH QUALITY,
INTERESTING CONTENT!  Sales will then come naturally!


Like I said, I like the topic of cooking. 
Therefore I know I'll find working on a website  related
to cooking both fun and relatively easy to maintain and keep
updated with fresh content.


I also like to consider myself a
"romantic" (although my wife may disagree!)


Add to that the fact that I'm also trying to
live a healthier lifestyle...  and I think we've found
the perfect combination!


We will want to plan our site around a lot of
valuable, interesting, informative, free content to attract
visitors, so this second ingredient is very important (and
we'll talk about this in more detail in later lessons as
well).


Just remember this...


On the Internet - Content
Is King!


So, regarding our SECOND KEY INGREDIENT
when considering our website theme with respect to "Interesting
Content To Write About"
, I think we've passed the
test!


Two Ingredients Down... One To Go!


If we pass the third test, I think we'll have
a winner!

Products To Generate Both Front And Backend Sales



Well, I think we could find plenty of
cookware, flatware, perhaps custom initialed chef aprons,
novelty chefs hats, dinnerware, glassware, small appliances. 
You name it - I'm sure we could get it!


 


PLUS - and here's a goldmine!...


We could eventually even add some
"romantic" gifts when sales really start to take off
- like chocolates, fine wines, even roses and such that we can
offer via an affiliate program like 1-800-flowers!


Yes... BRILLIANT I KNOW!


We'll definitely find ways to create multiple
streams of income from this little gem of a site - GUARANTEED!


It's important to remember that the actual
products you'll be offering your customers is your last
concern when starting out!


I know that may sound crazy to you, but it's
very true.  Pick a laser tight theme, make sure you could
offer good interesting content, help your visitors solve their
problems and strive toward strengthening their lives in some
way!


Your last step  - your least concern at
first - should be finding products to offer for sale.


Sound crazy?  Well, I think you'll change
your opinion once we're done building our "virtual
e-store"!


On a
side note:
I also have a few GREAT ideas for additional
income streams (BIG MONEY MAKERS) for our site... but we'll
have to wait on those for future lessons.  I don't want
us to get too far ahead of ourselves just yet...


So, we've got a highly targeted market to tap
into...


We're convinced we could write quality,
entertaining, informative content for our site...


And, we can easily find a drop shipping
supplier for our product sales...


Hocus Pocus... I think we have a winner!



So,
why don't we raise the curtain and unveil the

name of our new site...

A candle light cooking theme focused on fine
meals, fine wines, juicy desserts, and ROMANCE!  And
because we added the "LITE" into our theme, we can
even throw in a section for those "healthy
conscious" eaters too!


Now let's reflect back for a minute and
think about something...


Imagine if we simply decided to setup a site
dealing with the topic of cooking. 


So, we ventured out to setup a
"superstore" and to find every supplier imaginable
who would drop ship cooking supplies for us to make sales. 
After we completed all our product research and setup accounts
with all our drop ship suppliers, we then decided  to
build a HUGE site with all the "bells and whistles"
and start promoting it in the search engines everyday.


It could be quite exciting!  We may even
spend months designing the site - or worse yet - thousands of
dollars hiring a web designer to build our dream website.


And guess what...  It turns out looking
awesome!  Boy... are we proud!


We've got credit card processing, PayPal all
setup, a whole database of high tech "goodies"! 
Tell a friend, A Newsletter about cooking, Impressive photos
of our products, etc., etc.... Quite Impressive!


We call all our family and friends to give
them the web address.  They're quite impressed as well! 
We tell everybody we come in contact with that we're a BIG
BUSINESS OWNER and to check out our website when they have
time.


Our store has over FIVE THOUSAND products!


Now, all we have to do is sit back and let the
Internet work it's magic!  We've got a super site online
so - of course folks will find it!  The search
engines would be crazy not to list our website in the top 10
searches for cooking or cookware.... right?


Heck, we've got 114 pots and pans sets, 12
uniquely designed cutting boards, 122 varieties of steak
knives, 16 different wine bottle openers, 7 electric fryers,
31 high tech microwave ovens, 14 toasters, 6 blenders, 4 deep
fryers, 16 spice racks, 11 espresso machines, 3 cappuccino
machines, 44 flatware sets, 85 ceramic canisters, 25 different
cookie jars... and the list goes on and on!


If someone surfing the net is looking for
anything related to cooking... rest assured they'll be buying
from us!


So we sit back and wait..


... and wait...


...and wait...


...and wait...


Our e-register hasn't rung once!  There
must be a problem with our credit card processor!


Nope...


... that all checks out fine.


Maybe our shopping car is having a problem...
WRONG AGAIN!  Our cart is working fine...


Maybe our prices are too high?  Let's
lower 'em a bit and we'll certainly start seeing orders pile
up.


So we lower our prices and flash "ON SALE
NOW" signs all over the website!  Now we're
practically giving away our products for little to no profit
but that's Okay!  We're sure going to make it up on volumes
of sales we'll have coming in now!


Weeks go by... still NO SALES!  Months go
by... Still no sales!


So what do we end up doing?


We could hire a search engine expert (a few
thousand bucks there) to give us a good ranking in the search
engines...


We could hire a web design consultant to
analyze our site to see if there's anything more we could do
to improve sales (a few more thousand there).


We could hire some top copywriting guru to
re-write the sales pages and "HOPE" that will
increase sales.


The list goes on and on...


But needless to say... we end up doing what
most new online entrepreneurs do...


We give up our dream of owning a profitable
business online and go back to looking for another way to make
a living.. Usually another J.O.B!


Trust me!  99% of hard working,
determined, intelligent people starting out online go through
this exact scenario.  I'm talking about "soccer
moms", hard working dads, entrepreneurs, small business
owners, grandparents, sisters, brothers - all hard-working,
honest, GOOD PEOPLE!


So, where did they go wrong?  They had
all the high tech products stocked to the ceiling.  They
paid a web designer to build a flashy "state of the
art" website.  They stayed focused and dedicated. 
They offered sales and FREE shipping!  They even dropped
prices to a bare minimum...


They thought they did everything they were
supposed to do!  They read all the e-books and spent
hundreds - if not thousands - on info products and seminars
guaranteed to teach them the "secrets" to making it
big time on the net.


So why aren't they depositing rolls of cash
into their bank account everyday?


It all comes down to one cruel aspect of doing
business online...


BECAUSE NOBODY CARES!


SO WHAT!


There are hundreds of websites just like
theirs all over the Internet!


The question is...


Why should I buy from YOU?


What's in it for me - THE CUSTOMER?


I'll tell you
where they went wrong right from the start...




  • They failed to pinpoint a
    highly-targeted laser tight niche...



  • They didn't offer me any Quality,
    Informative, Entertaining content...



  • And all they did was try to sell me
    something!  I DON'T WANT TO BE SOLD ANYTHING! 
    If I want to but something... I'll go to Wal-Mart!




Thank goodness
we're smarter than that!

building our e-store and begin adding a few more "profit
nuggets" that'll be sure to get our site off on the right
track...

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can 

increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have 

worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and 

tactics can be learned easily. 



They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing 

bottom line and sale's is through the use of product recommendations.



Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in 

promoting a certain product. 

If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will 

definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using 

this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation,


your credibility will actually wear thin.




. This is seen especially 

when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit. 

Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a 

given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, 

this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend 

to increase your credibility.



Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you 

are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is 

good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product 

will benefit them.



When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things 

to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.

Sound like the true and leading expert in your field. 

Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct 

proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are 

an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase.





On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance 

in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will 

go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and 

new solutions they would not get anywhere else.



Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. 

Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and 

known personalities( in related fields of course.) 

Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, 

than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound 

unprofessional . Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.



And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning into experts 

and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with 

hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands 

worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough 

to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.



While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out 

promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of 

offering freebies to promoting your own products. But very few people do 

this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote 

or even have some information about your products or services.



Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should 

try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk 

products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility 

and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big 

mistake on your part.

If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. 

Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring 

it to would not be left high and dry if a problem suddenly arose.



Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. 

You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. 

Your plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your programs work.

Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.

I guarantee you one thing: doing nothing will get you one thing: NOTHING.
Taking action toward what you want will always win... even if you start wrong, it's better than sitting still.

Each and every day online, you're going to come up against another obstacle. It may be small - it may be big. Everyone in business has obstacles to overcome. I personally face obstacles online EVERYDAY! That's just the way business is... the road isn't always smooth or easy. There will always be some distractions as well.
Those that succeed in business don't allow anything to stop them from moving forward toward their goals. Each day you’ll gain more and more momentum and those daily obstacles ultimately become easier and easier to overcome.

My point is this. If you aren't really, really committed to succeeding - if you're going to allow a few small hurdles or any necessary "learning curves" in business stop you from taking a new direction in life, a brighter, wealthier future, then to be perfectly honest with you, I don't know if this information will help you.
Succeeding in your own business will be the hardest yet most rewarding task you’ll ever endure in your lifetime. It needs to be taken very seriously! It will make you think and think again! And when you’re done thinking, it’s time to brainstorm. Then, guess what... time to think again!
If you're the type of person who isn't willing to take a bit of responsibility for yourself and learn some new skills that may be outside of your "comfort zone", or you're not willing to accept some failures and learn from them and move forward toward your ultimate goal, then I probably can't help you. (And I say that with “mucho” respect for you and truly do wish you all the luck and success in any ventures you choose to pursue in life).
But if you are really committed to succeeding and you are willing to take charge and learn some new skills to develop and strengthen your business then I congratulate you!

A great service but a little more expensive.Don't do anything yet... We're going to talk more about this a bit later on...But know that you will need – WANT - to get your own domain name.

2. You need to be able to design a simple website and understand how to upload your products and any web pages (or any changes to existing pages, etc.) to the Internet on your own!
This is really important. If you don't know how to do this already... you will LEARN in this lesson! You can't rely on someone else to do it for you... and you really need to know how for your own sake.To be perfectly honest it's a very simple task once you know how, especially with all the new "designer challenged" user friendly software available on the market today – many free.I know that some of you will panic when you imagine the thought of having to design a web page on your own. Don't start biting your fingernails and worrying! It really is simple. I really can’t stress enough the importance of learning these skills yourself. And that’s what this lesson is mainly going to cover.
If you don’t want to learn right now, at least promise yourself you WILL LEARN in the near future...

3. You need to have a shopping cart.
Yes, you can use the PayPal cart if need be, but we’re going to go over another option that’s both FREE and much more advanced allowing you to customize your cart as needed.4. You need to have an autoresponder service setup.
Whether you already have an existing mailing list or not, you will need to setup an autoresponder service and start collecting customer's email addresses.This is the most important tool of all!By the end of this lesson you'll know just what you need, how to use it, and where to get it. You can download, learn from and use whatever tools you want from my recommendations to accomplish everything listed above. It'll be fun and easy! You'll see....Well there you have it. That wasn't so bad... was it? Just to recap:

Once you have control, your possibilities are endless.When you use a hosting service that provides a pre-built website, the amount of customization you can do to your site will usually be very limited. You need to be your own webmaster and take control of your online business to truly be successful.
2. Multiple Streams Of Net Income
Understand that in order to really see a large return on your investment (your time) you don’t want to limit yourself to ONLY the sale of physical goods - albeit drop shipped or not.Yes, you will make a very nice profit on the products you sell and have drop shipped (and this will be one of the keys to your success) but you really want to focus on dominating an entire “niche” by using every part of your website as a selling tool (and we'll cover some of these issues in future lessons)Let me just close this section with this thought...The most important tool for your success online is going to be your website. In my humble opinion, it's very easy to make a full time living online. The techniques that need to be followed are so simple to adopt that a 12 year old could do it.
But remember when setting up your website that you want to follow specific keys that will attract visitors, build your email list, and allow you unlimited profits.
Let's take a look at one of my "retired" websites so you'll have a good example of how things should be done to insure you make the sale!
My $60,000 A Year Online "Pet Shop"
Before the Internet was even beginning to become so popular, I owned several websites related to Dogs and Cats. One site in particular was a site related to dog training.
Now the site wasn't about every aspect of training your dog. It was a "Laser-Targeted" website that dealt with the issue of housebreaking a new puppy.
This one site raked in just over $60,000 in one year from a simple 6 or 7 page site...
... More importantly though was how I made that money from the site...
I found a reputable drop ship supplier for pet related products and gifts, but I knew that if I were to put up a site that was an "e-store" just selling pet gifts I wouldn't make much money. I wouldn't make any money selling these items on eBay either. I needed to be clever...
So what I did was I created a simple site that was ONLY geared towards housebreaking a new puppy. A "highly targeted niche" that would have little competition in the search engines.
Then I setup my website with ONE PRIMARY FOCUS. Get everyone who visited the site to give me their email address. How did I get their email? Simple... I offered a free downloadable report titled:
"6 Simple And Effective Ways To Housebreak Your New Puppy In 7 Days Or Less"
This report was prominently displayed on the main page (capture page) of my site with nothing else! There were no links to anything. You landed on my site and either downloaded the report or you didn't. If you did decide to enter your email and download the report, you were then redirected into the website.
This report was downloaded thousands upon thousands of times by visitors to my website. More importantly, I built a database of targeted email addresses that allowed me to follow up with and "back-end" products to my list on a consistent basis.
I knew everyone who downloaded the report just got a new puppy. That made it simple to create highly effective email copy. So I provided GREAT content in my follow up emails, plus I continuously offered affiliate product endorsements for other products that generated incredible affiliate commissions for me.
I only had one small text link on the site to the product catalog that simply read "Visit My Gift Shop", and this link wasn't even available to anyone unless they'd already given me their email address.
This "gift shop" link took a visitor directly to a small online gift shop where I sold some unique pet products and also my coveted "Pet Memorials" for a nice additional income.
I also had a "ghost writer" write an entire 84 page book for me on "Your Puppy's Health and Well Being". I paid the ghost writer $150 to write the entire book and sold over 1200 copies of it for $10 each.
Here's the rounded off numbers from that site:
• Affiliate Sales = $29,000
• Book Sales = $12,000
• Product Sales = $19,000
I made over $1000.00 per week from this little 7 page website and didn't have to ship one product or warehouse and goods.
Do you see the point I'm trying to make here? If I had a full blown web store that offered everything from dog bowls to cat nip and everything in between, and I didn't only focus on capturing email addresses, my business would have died a quick death.... GUARANTEED!Folks aren't looking to get online and go shopping. They are looking for INFORMATION!
Let me say that again...
Folks browsing the web are looking for INFORMATION!
And it's your job to provide them with this information. You can sell them "STUFF" later! You first need to build a relationship with them. Then, when you send an email to them they will be what is known as a "Highly Responsive" customer and they'll whip out their credit card and eagerly give you their money!
That's how you make sales and LOTS of money online!
You need to learn to build relationships with your website visitors and combine that with the "INCREDIBLE" power of email marketing to sell products and services to your customers on the "back-end".
That's also when your drop shipping sales will flourish!
Best of all... the information you provide could be on any subject - ANYTHING - as long as it relates to your target audience... Sales will follow!
